The CIS-Compliant Simeon Baseline is nearly complete!

Team Simeon has been hard at work preparing the next iteration of our Simeon Baseline to be fully CIS-compliant. This release represents a significant evolution of the Simeon Baseline, with over 110 configurations having been added or changed. For a summary of all updates and changes from the Simeon Baseline to the CIS-Compliant Simeon Baseline, please see this guide.

We are pleased to announce that this new baseline is nearly complete! To ensure the best experience for all of our customers, we are opening the CIS-compliant Simeon Baseline to select clients who wish to test these configurations and provide feedback. Sync New Providers, Available Now!

  • Azure AD > Password reset > On-Premises integration
  • For Simeon to use the On-Premises integration provider, you must first re-install your tenant to grant the correct permissions.
  • M365 Admin Center > Domains

Platform Updates:

In the coming weeks, Simeon will release a change to how we handle Service Principal Authentication. Currently, users can choose to install a tenant with Service Principal in addition to Delegated Authentication or Service Account. After this change, all tenants will install with Service Principal by default, and users will choose between Delegated Authentication and Service Account authentication for configuration types that do not support Service Principal. After this change is released, all tenants will pend approval to add a new service principal to the tenant. Syncs will continue to pend approval for this change until it is approved and the service principal is successfully deployed to the tenant.

Fixes and Improvements: The Simeon team is always hard at work for you!

  • [Improvement] After a configuration is hidden on Reconcile, the configuration count will decrease to reflect this change
  • [Fix] Selecting all configurations under a given type could result in some configurations not being selected
  • [Fix] Ensure proper validation of configuration changes when Syncing Intune Scope Tags
  • [Fix] Addressed an issue where a Sync could fail when attempting to export duplicate applications
  • [Fix] Resolved an issue when deploying Dynamic Distribution Groups that only allow messages from people
