Simeon now supports integration with Log Analytics. With Log Analytics, Simeon users can create custom alerts around nearly any aspect of their tenants. This includes the ability to receive alerts for changes to individual configurations, or for all configurations across multiple tenants. With Log Analytics custom alerts, you can receive notifications via email, SMS, Push, or even trigger actions via Azure Functions, Logic Apps, Webhooks, and more! To get started with Log Analytics custom queries and alerts, visit our newly updated documentation.
Platform Updates:
- Due to a change in how Simeon handles casing for tenant domain names, you may see configurations being added or removed on Export. These changes are expected and can be disregarded. These configurations include (but are not limited to):
- In order to fix a typo, Microsoft updated the description of the default Device Registration policy. As a result, you may notice Syncs pending approval to deploy a change to the DeviceRegistrationPolicies description. To prevent Syncs from pending approval unnecessarily, Simeon will no longer Export the description property for DeviceRegistrationPolicies.
- Simeon will now deploy Service Principals using the App ID in place of the Service Principal Name. This will ensure Service Principals get deployed correctly even when the Service Principal name is different across tenants. As a result, you may see Service Principals get removed under the old name and recreated using the App ID. These changes are expected and can be disregarded.
